. My name is Felix Kiprono from Aiyebo, Kabartonjo, Baringo North.

I am offering myself for the position of Senator for Baringo County in the upcoming elections.

I have worked with respectable organizations like; Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya (ICPAK), Banking Sector, government agencies, Banking, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Mining, Legal Services, Regulatory Bodies, see reasons for converging under one roof, Kenya high Commission to Australia, Australia high Commission to Kenya and East Africa.

Through these collaborations, I have gained immense experience and network that I intend to use for the benefit of Baringo Residents.

Some of the experiences that would be useful include;

1. Bringing Kenyan businesses focus to Australia

2. Giving small Australian companies engagement opportunities with relevant officials from Africa and networking with other delegates and exposure to the Kenyan market

3. Keeping abreast of all the latest developments – geopolitical, industrial and technological updates

4. Join round table discussions with some of Australia’s and Kenya’s most senior commercial and business people

5. Get accurate and up to date information on Africa’s business and investment opportunities: Trade and investment perspectives

6. Hear case studies from the region

7. Government policies 8. Innovation Transport and infrastructure

9. Opportunities and challenges for investment in the region and interests

10. Sustainability and social issues

11. New business interests in the region Furthermore, I have witnessed firsthand the biting poverty, perennial hunger, and insecurity in Baringo.

Consequently, I share in the dreams and ambitions of the people of Baringo, to have a secure, prosperous, and healthy community. I have walked for miles to fetch water from distant streams, watched my people stripped of their dignity as they cued for the tiny packs of GOK labeled relief food, and been unemployed at some point just like the rest of the young people.

I understand though that these challenges are not permanent and can be solved through a commitment to the needs of the people by leaders. I now have a strong resolve to offer myself for the people of Baringo so that we can collectively find a lasting solution to these hurdles.

My aim is to build bridges for our people to cross from poverty, disease, and security threats by systemically developing legislations and voicing local issues at the senate level and beyond.

I believe that I have what it takes to deliver Baringo from the chains of poverty that have been holding us back since independence. I am committed to the ambitions and aspirations of every single individual. I want to see the dignity of the elderly restored and the dreams of the young realized.
